Our master mixologist, Lakeshia Leonard, has been a high-level bartending service for almost twenty years. In 2018, she decided to open her own business doing mobile bartending services for people in private settings such as weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, fundraisers, and more. Venus Muse was formed to bring premier mobile bartending services to the southeast Michigan region as a woman-owned, minority business.

In 2021, restaurants and public events reconvened services permitting the pandemic restrictions. During that same time, Ms. Leonard was offered a business opportunity to manage a cocktail lounge in downtown Pontiac, Michigan. She took the position and noticed she was challenged to fill bartender job openings with qualified applicants. Finding any skilled bartenders with proper training was very challenging. So, she decided that something needed to be done amid the ""great resignation"" and folks shifting out of their career paths.
