Shawn Smith (00:03.039)
What's up, folks? This is Shawn Smith from Dripping in Black, and I am with a few of my friends here tonight that went to the Dripping in Black inaugural creators' retreat. And it's always good to see y'all. Hey, y'all, how y'all doing? How y'all doing?
Mr. Al Pete (00:24.552)
What's that? What's that? What's that?
Kia (00:24.909)
Good.
Shawn Smith (00:26.815)
So we are all here to give a brief recap of it. We did do one as a follow-up to a session on Saturday night. So we're going to disperse that in this one as well. So you can see that real time. But we do want to give some time for people to react to what they experience.
It was a week ago, so it's still fresh in our minds. And I'm going to have the people, and we're going to go clockwise, the way I see you all anyway, and introduce yourself and what part did you play in the retreat. B, we start with you.
Beatriz Pena (01:20.309)
Okay, hi y'all. I'm Bee. I came on behalf of Women Who Heal as the content creator. And I was really behind the scenes. It was my first time being with other creators, other than my phone. So it was nice to actually meet people who are doing content, who are pushing out or even having the creative skills as the podcasters.
Kia (01:47.18)
.
Beatriz Pena (01:50.027)
It was my first time meeting podcasters too, so I was really in awe the entire time I was there. I didn't know what to expect, so I kind of went in with an open heart, open eyes to see what it was like. And yeah, I was really there as a content creator for Woman Who Heals with the founder, Dee Allen. She's not on the call at the moment, but that was me.
Kia (02:16.075)
.
Shawn Smith (02:17.237)
Show them the notes that you took. Show me your notebook.
Beatriz Pena (02:21.155)
Oh no, I'm still taking notes. I've been taking notes all day. Every day.
Shawn Smith (02:24.757)
She was the daughter she she took the dope that she was she was she was swept with her pain.
Beatriz Pena (02:29.059)
Yeah, yeah. I'm a huge notebooker, so...
Shawn Smith (02:36.017)
Alright, next is my man that did a presentation, Mr. Al Peet. Tell him who you are and what you did,
Mr. Al Pete (02:44.266)
What's up, what's up, what's up, what's happening? Greetings. All the great things. Mr. Al Pete, founder of the NPN Network, Hip Hop Artist podcast, media specialist, all the things, your cousin's best friend. I was one of the presenters, a speaker in this dope, in this dope, you know.
Kia (02:45.002)
.
Mr. Al Pete (03:10.974)
thing that we got going on. And I'm looking forward to doing more. I'm really looking forward to doing more with this. We're going to continue this journey that has started. So shouts out to you Squared for everything that you've done. And I'm just glad to be a part of this thing, this retreat.
Kia (03:16.489)
you
Shawn Smith (03:28.031)
Now I'm gonna let, yeah, I will let y'all know that Al gave a suggestion that we're going to do and I'll talk about that toward the end. And I have a, we have that, you know, most people have deemed the MVP of the retreat and that's NaKia Bonds, which did our cooking, our personal shelf. Introduce yourself, ma'am.
Kia (03:43.145)
Okay.
Kia (03:56.874)
Hello everyone, it's Nakia, also known as Kia Can Cook. Based right now out of Northwest Indiana, not that far from Chicago, but homegrown from Detroit, always first love. I was the chef in charge of nourishment and vibes for the weekend.
Is there anything else?
Mr. Al Pete (04:24.392)
I saw that recap video of the food. man.
Shawn Smith (04:31.083)
It's be more to come. The next person, Paula, Paula's putting it out there. She was giving it to you as we was giving it. She had her dinner, her dinner, her dinner post. had her breakfast post. had it, yeah, so Paula, which is next. Introduce yourself, Paula.
Kia (05:19.262)
So.
Shawn Smith (05:22.603)
By far the best food I had at a conference. Retreat, anything else.
Shawn Smith (05:45.971)
Yes, yes, and we're gonna also shout out the ones that are not here or not here yet Ty Hicks was one of the Participants a Detroit native out of he's in New York right now Dominic Lawson is just good off a vacation off with his family. So I know he's he's resting
and also our audio guy our guy Krate Digga, which is en route. He had a celebration that he was at this weekend. He's en route home and things like that. They will be making, but you will see them and their responses to some of their questions that we asked on the review that we did that night. So.
Kia (06:20.165)
.
Shawn Smith (06:41.267)
I'm gonna start off with a couple of questions for folks, and then if they have any questions, they can ask it to whoever they need to. First one I'm gonna ask is Kia. Kia saw some of the stuff, but she wasn't active, because she was doing her thing, her creator. She was creating that vibe that kept us nourished and full and giving the itis. What did you...
Kia (06:49.733)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (07:10.793)
What did you glean from, I won't say an outsider, because you weren't really an outsider, but you wasn't with the podcast and stuff directly. Now you went a lot of the, we got a lot of shots of the food, we have some things just talking to you that will be coming out soon. Most of the work is after the fact, because we got all this material now. So.
Kia (07:19.523)
.
Shawn Smith (07:38.143)
From your point of view, from your perspective, what did you see at the retreat?
Kia (07:46.628)
So first of all, didn't know. I wasn't aware that that was the first time that most had met one another. So what I experienced was some like-minded folks who were able to have a great time meeting each other. It was a lot of conversations. It was a lot of
pep talks going on in the corners. But it seemed as if it was a very good camaraderie with the group that was there and getting work done. It was a lot of work that goes behind the scenes and even when it was time to turn on the camera, it was hard work. So I saw folks working, I saw folks taking notes, I saw folks changing clothes, I saw folks
practicing lines. So there was a lot that happened in those two and a half days. That's what I saw. from my understanding, it was the first time for a lot of those in attendance that were, actually performed the podcast, if I'm not mistaken, but in hearing some of the content, it sounded like
folks have been doing this for a while, but it was cool to see everyone sharing, learning, and just willing to take the chance on themselves. And that's what I saw.
Shawn Smith (09:28.113)
Okay, and I'm still trying to get Kia to do her idea of her podcast. So that's why we're practicing some of those other things that I actually got right now. But like I said, now I gotta get mics to work. It's always something, always something. Paula, my next question. My next question go to Paula. Paula, you are one of the veterans in the group. One of the veterans in the group.
Kia (09:43.348)
Yes.
Shawn Smith (09:57.931)
This is gonna be kind of a two part question. One part, how was this retreat different from the conferences that you have attended? Well, I'll start there. How was this different than the conference you attended? And where do you place it in your education in podcast? Or teach it, because now you are...
Veterans.
Kia (10:38.815)
Don't.
Kia (11:13.479)
.
Kia (11:35.838)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (11:43.761)
It was part two of the question is, I forgot what the part two was, the learning versus teaching, both and however you want to.
however you want to tackle that.
Kia (12:00.606)
Okay.
Kia (12:22.897)
you
Shawn Smith (12:46.715)
yeah, and that was very intentional, because like I said, we've had recaps of afros and audios with a lot of people in this group. Shout out to the C4. And we've talked about those things. Even as a teacher, if I look at a professional development, and I used to design professional developments,
Kia (12:53.748)
.
Shawn Smith (13:15.019)
It's gotta be interactive. We didn't want anybody just speaking. Even though, like I said, Al's, that he wasn't with us physically, we still had conversation around that as well. He did do a formal presentation, which was great as well. First of all, before we go on, we want to say hello. We had some...
Kia (13:20.909)
You want.
Shawn Smith (13:50.385)
they kicked her out. We will maybe cut that out. We'll get her back when she gets back. We just had Krate Digga join us. Introduce yourself, sir. I know you've been on the road and he might pass out at any time.
Krate (14:15.753)
Good people. I'm sorry I'm early. know Squared told me when he sent me the link he said he was gonna have the junior varsity first and then he know what never mind don't worry about it. So good evening good people. Hopefully everybody's well. We might cut this part out too so I'm gonna make some jokes and then I'm gonna introduce myself so I can get myself I need to get a mic check in. But I think Paula's prepaid time ran out because I feel like she had a long-winded
uh, response to throw in and Riverside was like, no ma'am, no, no, you. All right. I'm ready. Good evening. Good people. I'm the DJ Krate Digga, better known as Krate Digga, 24 7 365. You catch me on www.kratedigga.com. I'm a DJ, producer, instructor, musician. Um, a whole lot of other stuff, but I am not a podcaster. No matter what Al tells you, I am not a podcaster. Don't believe the words that he says. With that being said, hopefully everybody's well. Good to see y'all, man. Everybody doing well.
Shawn Smith (15:15.956)
Yes, sir.
Krate (15:17.923)
That was a deep side, Al. You wanna say something, but you know it's not even gonna be worth your time.
Shawn Smith (15:21.162)
Yes, sir.
Shawn Smith (15:29.055)
You know, we might win.
Mr. Al Pete (15:29.234)
I'm sure I'm chilling. sure I'm just gonna you just gonna that's just gonna be your, your your catchphrase. I am not a podcaster. Yeah, get a shirt made. That'd be ill.
Krate (15:34.397)
I need to put them, I need to get them shirts done. Not a podcast. I got to some not a podcast with t-shirts on those sites. What up B?
Shawn Smith (15:44.683)
Yeah, know, Al said that we might, you know, we might have to throw that white hat up after this one. So we'll check in with it and see if we have to throw that white hat up. B, B had a very different perspective. She came in, didn't know anyone but D, her partner in crime. And we had B in the hood.
ish. We have being a hoodish. They're not knowing all the people. Yes, definitely a hood adjacent. Hood too close.
Krate (16:14.845)
Hood adjacent, yes, hood adjacent.
Shawn Smith (16:28.863)
What was your, what did you start off with to what did you end with in your experience? What I mean by that is you had an initial thing that you got there to Detroit. In fact, they landed early. They were in the D and D was actually coming from Dallas and.
B is coming from Minnesota, so they landed early. So they had some time to acclimate with the city.
So, there she go, there you go.
Beatriz Pena (17:08.387)
Yes. So it was my, it was my first time in Detroit, Michigan. I didn't, like I said, I was there on a mission to kind of learn about the podcasting world. Um, genuinely speaking, I wish I would have opened more up about my education and what my degree. So I majored here from a private university called Bethel and I majored in business and political science. So.
Kia (17:21.526)
you
Beatriz Pena (17:37.239)
There was this one class that I took called history of the Middle East. And it really talked about how the media, how media is streamed when it comes to like big world events, for example, 9-11, which happened years ago. So it's really, it was really fun to finally be in Michigan and see where kind of like the different political climate on my social medias.
while I was in Detroit, Michigan versus how it is here in Minnesota and then in Texas as well. So I wish I would have taken more time to speak with Krate and with you, Shawn, about like policy makings when it comes to media and the outlets. I think my last day we got to drive down that eight mile road and it was really fun because we had basketball in the background and it really put into perspective for me at least.
how y'all men talk and communicate when someone is in your city. listening to the different radio channels was really interesting to me. And you say I was in the hood. It really, I was in the hood.
Kia (18:54.93)
Not too much, B. That's where I grew up at, not too much.
Beatriz Pena (19:01.091)
was like, whose trap house was this in the past?
Krate (19:01.277)
But if you was with S squared, then you had a Sherpa, so you were safe. You had your hood Sherpa, so you was all right.
Kia (19:07.251)
I wish.
Beatriz Pena (19:09.455)
That's why I felt safe. I felt safe, but it made me think like personally speaking if I had grown up in that neighborhood like I Don't know I couldn't imagine how different how Yeah So it was really cool it was fun
Kia (19:21.255)
I made it out okay. I'm cool.
Shawn Smith (19:32.171)
Since you got cut off, Paula, did you want to finish your statement about Al?
Shawn Smith (20:12.971)
You know.
Krate (20:15.729)
No, she's right. Everything, I don't know if I broke it or if it broke because I was there, but either way, everything went to hell.
Shawn Smith (20:27.179)
But yet, we got a lot of stuff done, a lot of good stuff done, so it didn't break all that much. But you know, I always tell Krate he have to give himself grace. Krate is hard.
Krate (20:44.413)
I just need to get some shit that works. Don't give me grace. Give me a couple extra dollars. Let me get up some new gear, make sure everything works properly.
Shawn Smith (20:48.137)
Right.
Kia (20:48.205)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (20:53.119)
Yeah, we thought we talked about that too. We talked about that too, you know, it's time to graduate on some things as well. So we talked about.
Krate (21:00.211)
So let me say this real quick. I'm sorry, Paula. So funny not funny is we had all those problems that I'm sure y'all alluded to and we could talk about again later if we really have to. But so I got back home and I did a whole week of prep for another show I had this past weekend. And of course, everything worked fine. And then some other stuff that I had to figure out that I kind of like put these two things together and did some new stuff that I had never done before. All of that worked fine.
Kia (21:14.384)
Okay.
Krate (21:28.839)
So at this point, I think it's just a thing that an Ohio state guy was in Michigan and the whole state was just really acting funny. don't know. I'm no longer taking any responsibility. I feel like I just crossed the state line and the whole thing. Yeah. Like I'm not even gonna put it on Detroit. I love, I love Detroit and I love folks from Detroit, but I think it was just the whole state of Michigan just had a thing. because I was coming in from Columbus, but you know, we'll save that conversation for a whole nother time and place.
Kia (21:44.24)
.
Shawn Smith (22:03.755)
She's she's she's she's jinxed herself and got booted out again.
Krate (22:04.809)
It's cause she's disappearing with her background. I don't know how she's doing it, but she disappeared with the background and then her whole camera cut off cause the thing ain't nobody there.
Kia (22:09.863)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (22:12.757)
Yep.
Right, stop moving, how about that? Because you gotta be moving my other stuff around, but that's okay.
Krate (22:17.575)
Or at least not have the same hair and glasses as all the lights in the back. Like, diversify your portfolio and maybe you won't confuse your camera.
Shawn Smith (22:34.133)
So this is a weekend full of stuff.
Beatriz Pena (22:37.731)
I'm gonna write that down, diversify your portfolio.
Kia (22:41.647)
you
Shawn Smith (22:44.403)
man, I will say this. This was an Al suggestion that when we had our recap wrap up, it wasn't a show, but our wrap up is that Al has suggested that we do something quarterly as far as meeting up, get some education in, get some shows in, some ideas in.
So the next one would be June maybe. We'll talk more about that but one of the things that did come up is that we want to keep the momentum going. That's really what the bottom line was. We want to keep the momentum going and like I said, was a lot of things that, there's a lot of things I could talk about but one of the ones I think I've said it
Kia (23:40.202)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (23:44.689)
in somebody's conversation. That it was good, especially for B and D to be there because that was, you had their youth, so they brought some energy there. They had them willing to learn, which was always good, and they probably learned a lot what to do and what not to do.
Kia (24:04.344)
you
Shawn Smith (24:09.417)
what not to do is always a way of learning. So they got to see those things. You get to see, you know, we didn't have a lot of fancy equipment there, but we had enough, you know, that you could see that you could do with nothing. B mentioned that in the conversation we had that, you know, you can see that you can do it with what you have, you know. There was...
Phones used his cameras. We've had all types of stuff there to use. So we use what we have. like I said, there's some, like I said, Krate have learned that he has to graduate on some stuff so he can be, his time could be better spent doing other stuff. So that is good. So any questions or comments?
something that we need to, you want me to talk about or somebody else to talk about.
Krate (25:15.177)
Well, I'll say this since you kind of mentioned, I'm sorry, my bad. Go ahead, Al, go ahead, brother.
Mr. Al Pete (25:18.592)
I don't necessarily well Did we want to elaborate elaborate more on the possible quarterly situation do we
Shawn Smith (25:28.969)
Yes you may, since you brought it up.
Mr. Al Pete (25:31.892)
Well, you technically you brought it up, sir.
Shawn Smith (25:35.625)
No, technically you gave the suggestion. I'm going back to the, I'm going, you know I'm a fundamentalist, so I'm going back to the fundamentals of where it first came up. So give us your, give us your vision.
Mr. Al Pete (25:38.992)
yeah, well.
Mr. Al Pete (25:46.365)
Gotcha.
Yeah, so I was hypothetically speaking about having these conversations and having this comrade moves continued. I was thinking quarterly being the fact that it won't be so strenuous on everybody. We can have time to plan, but it would be a situation where we can get together.
Kia (25:59.726)
.
Mr. Al Pete (26:16.384)
Pick a day and maybe spend about three hours or something like that three to four hours or shorter two hours and just have conversations about the things that was spoken on at at the retreat. Maybe have a couple speakers come you know and have speakers come and.
or we can have breakout sessions, we can do a project. So I'll do an idea. I'm a hypothetical speaker, I spit one out. we take a Saturday, everything starts at 9 o'clock in the morning. It'd be like the welcome or whatnot. But it'd be like a 9 to noon type of situation. So it'd be an introduction. And then we have one speaker. And one speaker talks about
Kia (27:09.352)
.
Mr. Al Pete (27:10.324)
Let's say that'd be great. Krate talks about this quarter, like a particular quarter will focus on the production side of podcasting, content creating, et cetera. like credit would be the first speaker and talk about the techniques of streaming online, like what you need and stuff like that. So Krate you know, speak for an hour. We have conversations.
Maybe we break out into like a 15 minute session where we had different rooms and people go in there and then they discuss it. You know, we give like a project. Like the project is who would you want to sponsor your live stream that you do? You have to come up, the group will come up with it. We come back, we talk about it, discuss it. And then after that, have like a second speaker. The second speaker will talk about something technical. And then after that, you know, we break it out to another session.
and then come back and then we do like a closing. But and like I said, this is kind of just speaking prematurely on what what it will look like, et cetera. the main thing, the main goal is just to keep having these type of situations where we are coming together, having conversations, training, you know, researching, studying, training, elevating each other. I wonder things I stated was
We can if if everybody's interest is to speak like a speaking engagement, if somebody says, hey, I would like to try, you know, you know, speaking at at least at a retreat or whatever, like this could kind of be like the workshop. would be like the area, the playground, the incubator to do it. And so we can give people opportunities to do that. So, you know, we can put a criteria together, something like that and go from there. But at the end of day.
Kia (29:00.902)
Okay.
Mr. Al Pete (29:03.466)
having this retreat energy kind of continue on quarterly, I think it'd just be good for, it'd be good, man, just to keep the community aspect going. And so it won't just stop at the retreat because the retreat was just such a magnificent job. mean, all around, all aspects of it was great. So I just would like to see this type of community continue.
in that regard. So hopefully that makes sense what I stated, but you know, like a once a quarter type of thing would be cool because we're still going to be conversing, conversing, you know, like in our Group Me you know, we follow each other online. We'll have those conversations. We'll be still interacting on that tip, but to have something like formally put together, I think would be cool. I think it'd be cool to.
people to look forward to get more people involved that are not involved that missed out on the retreat give them something you know that they can expect when we do have the retreat again where people be in person so
Krate (30:11.751)
definitely agree. Actually, was, you know, what I was going to say before I actually before I started to interrupt you, Al, to your point squared. And yes, Al, you did bring it up first. So we lay in the set your feet, but it's all good.
Kia (30:18.492)
.
Krate (30:26.735)
Absolutely, both in terms of continuing the momentum of what last weekend provided each of us individually and as a group, as a collective, I think that's one thing to tie back in what Al shared is in building that community, as people can see, we have a camaraderie and an engagement style that
is not a like we just met once and kind of like, don't really know these folks. as much as I still have to learn about B and as much as I still have to learn about D and as much as I, well, let me rephrase. As much as I know about Paula that I don't want to know. And then as much as I know about B and D that I, mean, as much as I started to learn about them and I'm ignoring Al and Square for a second, but.
In terms of all of these different connections and relationships and individual communities or individual engagements that were built and developed and strengthened and have been ongoing, there's still this whole group that wasn't a group until last weekend. And that community bonded, grew, had experiences, had learning, et cetera, et cetera.
that I don't think any of us are ready to leave at the retreat. So to what I was saying, what Squared has shared and other folks have shared as well. So when building out that community, what does that look like? And not just like community for the sake of having like community, but like what does that look like in terms of us serving the community, the community serving us, us serving each other?
So whether that's every four Saturday or whether it's every four weeks, excuse me, every four months or every three months, however we break it up, but that ongoing engagement with the community and finding out, know, Bea mentioned there's certain things that she wished in hindsight that she would have shared more or specific questions she would have asked more about. So how can we take that, basically that ask, that call to action as a community, how can we serve that for her?
Krate (32:25.221)
And if people in this community may not be the best people to serve her in those terms, who can we find to serve her in those terms? Because she's already put out to ask, amongst other folks of this community, on what she needs or what she's looking for or what would help her. So I think all of us are in that space of different things that we can contribute, different things that we can take away from. So once again, I think that's important to what Al shared in his presentation is
Kia (32:32.133)
.
Krate (32:53.831)
community and not just community for the sake of numbers, community for the sake of warm bodies or squares on a call, but like, how are we really serving each other? How are we serving the community? What does that reciprocity look like? And is that reciprocity?
fair and honest. So once again, is it just us doing things that make Square look good because he's the leader of the Dripping in Black Creatives retreat? Or are we all putting into this pot that we can all pull from in different ways? Or are we all, you know, or maybe I don't have anything that I need to take out, but I have plenty that I can share in, whatever that looks like. So I say all that to say that I think both in Al's suggestion and Square's kind of pushing us to ask ourselves and each other, what does that look like? And then
How do we do it? Because in the end, the same way the creator retreat kind of happened because Square said to himself with conversation with Al and other folks, like, I can't keep talking about it. just got to do it. So now that he's just done it, how can we all take that same kind of mindset and just do the thing to continue to serve the community and, you know, be of service to each other? And Paula, you took all the Red Bulls and you drinking Red Bull on the show. That's crazy. That's real crazy.
Kia (34:09.943)
Okay.
Talk Shit With P (34:16.278)
Let's not go there. Let's not even go there on this Red Bull, right? You drink all of them and just say it was me.
Talk Shit With P (34:26.955)
Just like how you ate two other biscuits, basically.
Kia (34:33.158)
you
Shawn Smith (34:35.147)
Paula ain't right.
Krate (34:35.99)
I enjoyed every morsel of every biscuit I had and it still wasn't enough. So I will not apologize for eating all the biscuits.
Shawn Smith (34:39.115)
We
Kia (34:42.375)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (34:50.219)
Also, we had another person that came in to Dee's presentation, and I'm so glad to see her, because I finally met her that Saturday night. And Juliana Luna of, well, I know Juliana because she's a former student of a partner of mine.
We got together because she wanted some tips, but she probably should be giving me some tips because she was doing her thing. And Juliana, in the hours in which you spent with us, and we do appreciate you spending some time with us, what was your overall viewpoint of what you experienced at the retreat?
Kia (35:36.612)
Okay.
Juliana (35:44.522)
Well, hello everyone. Sorry I joined late. I am at work right now so I'm just trying to squeeze in some time. for overall at the retreat, honestly I had no idea what to expect. I mean it was my first time getting together with like a bunch of creatives other than like some of maybe photo shoots I do which are predominantly like in that kind of...
Kia (35:50.912)
you
Juliana (36:10.754)
creative space I guess like meeting up with just other people who are kind of doing that same thing. So it was it was new to me and I honestly like didn't think I was gonna enjoy as much as I did. I obviously had like you know I was being really optimistic about it. I wasn't trying to be as shy and I really was trying to be more open but unfortunately you know I was only with you guys for those few hours and so
Kia (36:20.551)
you
Juliana (36:36.907)
I didn't really know everybody too well, so I kind of was just, you know, sitting back, listening, and just absorbing really. I really took that opportunity to just absorb and learn from everyone because although I say my podcast is probably about like a year and a half old, maybe two, I haven't dropped that much. And I think that's just lack of experience and I'm really particular and really...
Ty-Ron-Za (36:49.978)
Juliana (37:05.931)
I'm kind of like almost a perfectionist when it comes to what I drop. So I was really just taking notes and like I said absorbing I think is the best word.
Shawn Smith (37:19.755)
Okay, we have someone else just I'm gonna wait till his camera come on before I do so but um now Juliana didn't know nobody she knew of me she see my face on I don't even know if you see my face because you see them you see the dripping in black logo so I don't know if you see her face other than if you saw saw me and David on something so
Ty-Ron-Za (37:28.757)
Okay.
Juliana (37:33.344)
Yes.
Juliana (37:40.382)
Yeah.
Shawn Smith (37:48.403)
You came in there blind, blind, At least be.
Ty-Ron-Za (37:50.392)
And.
Juliana (37:53.375)
Yes.
Talk Shit With P (37:55.038)
You came to the hood in a house not knowing who you're coming to see.
Kia (37:58.905)
.
Juliana (37:59.516)
Yes.
Shawn Smith (38:00.981)
That's a trust, but again, she know I was there and I had to look after her, so we good.
Juliana (38:08.969)
Yes, there was a moment, I'm not gonna lie, there was like probably a 2.5 second interval where I pulled up to the retreat and I'm like, is this a good idea? But no, I'm glad it went good.
Ty-Ron-Za (38:11.064)
Thank you.
But no.
Shawn Smith (38:24.927)
Hey, I don't blame you, I did too. I said, we gonna really do this thing for real when I'm pulling up in that driveway?
Juliana (38:26.442)
You
Krate (38:27.165)
Yeah, some of these folks I've known for a while and I still question if I should like even be on phone calls with them. So I understand.
Juliana (38:31.144)
Yeah.
Talk Shit With P (38:36.448)
I was waiting for you to say those two words. I was just waiting for you to say those. But, it was the shot, right? It was the shot.
Juliana (38:36.801)
Yeah
Ty-Ron-Za (38:42.806)
What?
Juliana (38:43.038)
Mm-hmm.
Yes, yes, it was. The one we took in the kitchen. Yes, that's what got definitely all of our bloods pumping, for sure.
Ty-Ron-Za (38:48.762)
Well.
Shawn Smith (38:54.057)
Yeah, well, like I said, we all have resigned to the fact that there's no words to describe Paula, Paula being Paula. That was our term for since we've known Paula, Paula being Paula. So that was it.
Kia (38:55.768)
Okay.
Ty-Ron-Za (38:56.374)
That was it guys.
Juliana (39:08.489)
Mm.
Talk Shit With P (39:09.952)
there to make people comfortable. That's all.
Juliana (39:11.594)
And you did a very good job.
Shawn Smith (39:13.717)
I don't know if you make up, if that's what y'all say. So.
Let me see something else that's going
Kia (39:27.943)
.
Shawn Smith (39:29.537)
weird to that.
Ty big fella are you there?
Ty-Ron-Za (39:38.964)
That I am, I cannot get on camera right now.
Shawn Smith (39:42.371)
Okay. What up, big fella? Tell the people who you are. We have put up one of them pictures. I hope y'all saw the picture from the photo shoot. We put one of those pictures up there to represent you. Tell them who you are.
Ty-Ron-Za (39:55.559)
Yeah, put a sexy picture up of me, you feel me? Hello everyone, my name is Tyronza Hicks. You guys can call me Ty. I am a multi-podcaster, producer, creator, content producer, curator, host of Who Is Tyronza, R &B and Chill, and Black Hockey, and the CEO and content.
manager for Epic Echoes Production.
Kia (40:24.965)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (40:28.349)
All right, otherwise, Ty my guy What's up, Ty? Ty, what was your overall assessment of the retreat?
Ty-Ron-Za (40:41.166)
I think the retreat was fantastic. I think it was great for its inaugural, you know, start. I think all in all, it was great. I'm from Detroit, so I knew the area very well. It was like five minutes away from my grandma's house, so that was perfect. But yeah, it was great. Got to know some really dope, amazing new people. Saw some old faces.
Kia (41:02.358)
Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (41:11.475)
I think Shawn, how you curated the entire weekend was really dope from the food to the introductions to I think you just making the space just a neutral calm and fun field space. So I think from beginning to end, it was great for me.
Kia (41:39.208)
Thank
Ty-Ron-Za (41:40.219)
It was great for me and it was a definite stress reliever. So I loved every minute of it. It was great.
Shawn Smith (41:49.931)
Appreciate you my guy Appreciate you my guy so Like I said Ty I Don't know if he was on and not remember I couldn't get your volume to work on on the aerial caster
Ty-Ron-Za (42:07.205)
Yes.
Shawn Smith (42:09.865)
your boy is not bright. After I tell you the story, I told the story this morning in Clubhouse, but your boy ain't that bright, man, because it was user, as Krate always like to say, and he is probably 95 % right most of time, it was an operator, dumb blankety blank error for real.
Kia (42:21.76)
.
Krate (42:26.985)
It is operator error. Absolutely. I caught it.
Ty-Ron-Za (42:34.491)
Ha ha ha ha!
Krate (42:34.665)
Well, what makes it so good is when I asked him, like, it turned on? Is it blah, blah? You know how he looked at me, right,
Ty-Ron-Za (42:37.713)
man...
Krate (42:43.592)
And here we are.
Ty-Ron-Za (42:44.113)
Yeah, you know he gave you that look, yeah, yeah. And I looked at the video, you know I went in and I seen it and I said, everybody got sound, everybody sound good. I sound, no sound. I ain't got no sound.
Kia (42:47.508)
you
Shawn Smith (42:48.518)
Do it.
Shawn Smith (42:52.299)
Now...
Shawn Smith (42:56.179)
Right. You have no sound. You were silent. put your wave file up there so we can sync it so you can have the video and the footage or whatever. Right. You know, it's kind of hard to be an audio. It's hard to grasp audio if you pantomime it. So, yeah, that was...
Kia (42:56.562)
.
Krate (43:09.053)
You to Charlie Chaplin of podcasting.
Shawn Smith (43:25.705)
Definitely definitely dumb user error too, man. It was bad. It was bad But overall like I said, we're going to use this we're going to Combine it with the the recap we did that night. So we have a whole We will have a whole
Shawn Smith (43:50.633)
Recap bus with this as well as what we said that night I haven't looked at that footage yet, but we I will pull something I will pull something together As we want as we wind it down Like I said at that let at that night the plan for the the retreat is to To put it on the road now
you all created a different issue. Y'all said, if you put it out a road, you gotta bring Kia kid with you. So, I don't, so, you know, so that was.
Krate (44:27.721)
I don't see what the problem is. you help me understand what's wrong with one that eat well?
Kia (44:28.39)
Okay.
Krate (44:35.347)
Just cause I'm on the road though man, I'm not still a king. I deserve to eat like a king. The Kia gotta come.
Kia (44:42.543)
It's a wrap.
Shawn Smith (44:43.85)
Yeah.
Talk Shit With P (44:44.368)
Do you want us to show up or not?
Krate (44:49.127)
mean, if we got to vote, we'll vote. If it's gotta be you or her, we can vote if we need to.
Shawn Smith (44:49.515)
I'll be, I'll be, yeah.
Talk Shit With P (44:49.76)
I'm just saying.
Kia (44:54.561)
You
Shawn Smith (45:00.775)
Like I said, man, so I already let her know. So, you know, we do have some places in mind, but that is one of the things. Now we might make to Detroit one, the annual one, but the other one would probably, I would like to do that now. If we break the monetary code, I would love to do that quarterly, but.
Right now we're going to do the meetup quarterly, what that's gonna be. And we'll let you know within the next couple of weeks. And again, for you all, I'm talking to you all, if you all have a presentation, Bea and Juliana, I'm pointing at y'all to, know, she'll throw an air post, I'm still pointing at y'all to. Y'all have a presentation y'all wanna present, you got something that you wanna do or speak on, that is great.
Kia (45:55.118)
.
Shawn Smith (45:58.283)
because it is a, use it as a vehicle to test out what you wanna do. I'm looking forward for Dee's drop. Me and Dee just had a meeting and hers will be dropping. We start to get the schedule together for hers to drop and we're gonna start editing hers soon. So that is cool.
B got some ideas, so B might be on something as well. Juliana, please Juliana, get to your regular, well, you Juliana flying planes and don't.
Krate (46:31.603)
Yeah, I'm about to say, mean, listen, I'm gonna give you this idea. when you finally ready to take off, pun intended with it, like you don't have to pay me no money or nothing. You need to have a podcast. It's called Plane Old Podcast and you shoot all your episodes from the cockpit. So like while you flying, you talk about whatever you're talking about. I don't know if I ever seen anybody podcast from a plane. It don't gotta be live. So, you know, if you got to dodge some birds or whatever y'all do up there in the Cessnas and the jets or whatever you be flying, like, you know.
Juliana (47:01.069)
Mm.
Krate (47:01.427)
Chop it up when you get down on the ground, but play no podcast.
Juliana (47:09.419)
Wow, no, that's, yeah. I've never heard of a podcast in the air either. The only issue is though, because I've had tried to get footage up there, is the mic issue. It is so loud. It's so loud. That's the only thing, I actually go up Thursday, so.
Krate (47:24.465)
Yeah, you know, so I don't I'll say this. I'm absolutely sure flying a plane while you're no matter how good you are at it is just one of those things where there's certain things that you just can't deal with as much as other things. With that being said, I think one of the things that will help set the stage for your podcast like that is understanding like this is not like fake in a plane like we in a plane. So
Like I don't know how you record, like if you have, if there's a way to record the, the headsets or whatever the communication, system is, I don't know what the F AA rules are and all that. But I think understanding because you're actually broadcasting quote unquote live from a plane, people will be able to deal with, with the volumes. And then once you do the post-production and do some filtering and different things, it may be able to make it a bit more kind of comfortable. But I think once again, the absolute realness of.
Kia (47:50.572)
.
Juliana (48:05.026)
Okay.
Krate (48:20.379)
something like that, people aren't going to be like, this doesn't sound like, nah, like you're in a plane. So yeah. So I think, so once again, that's yours to, to, to do what you will with it. I will not be behind. I will not be in charge of flying any plane, any real planes beyond any drones. So you don't have to worry about me taking that idea anytime soon. So if it's something that takes a couple of years, that's what it takes. Or if you like, I can figure this out. And then six months later you add it, but.
Talk Shit With P (48:29.447)
It's part of the vibe.
Juliana (48:30.562)
Yeah.
Juliana (48:35.889)
Thank you.
Krate (48:50.163)
If you like the idea, it's yours.
Juliana (48:56.339)
Sweet. No, definitely. That's definitely putting some stuff into my head. Because I do follow a couple of, like, pilot creators and they just make reels though. Like they don't do anything like YouTube or podcasting and there is a way now that I think about it
when you just said it is they're able to get what's going on when they're talking to ACT, like the people who give directions and stuff, and also record what they're saying. I just need to figure out how they do that. But no, yeah, definitely. I need to do my research. Thank you for that.
Shawn Smith (49:32.971)
Yep. There's a couple ways they can do that. yeah, you figure it out. And all you need is a DJI mic and a lapel and you can filter other stuff. It's easier to do it from there and record it straight from there and then filter the other stuff out because it ain't going to be that bad because it's a condensed mic right next to you.
Juliana (49:53.205)
Okay.
Yeah. Right.
Shawn Smith (50:02.631)
So even if it gives you some background noise, like you said, you got to vibe. I'm in a plane. I'm in a plane giving y'all knowledge. So you got it. All right, as we wind down, I'd like to thank the words that had an opportunity to come out. It's much love to you and y'all. You made the inaugural one.
Juliana (50:15.967)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (50:33.567)
memorable for a lot of different ways. You know, the funniest way, y'all know, y'all go look at, I'm not even gonna tell you all, y'all go look for who posted that. Ty, Ty got the best post of it. And I'm still looking for footage to see if we can find the footage of her actually falling. But you know what, Ty, it was funnier just to listen to it, just to hear her.
Kia (50:36.244)
Okay.
Juliana (50:51.898)
Yeah.
Kia (50:53.832)
Thank
Talk Shit With P (50:58.336)
into the first episode of this incredible... like you can take that away from me but bro that shit still hurts and that shit is still funny
Krate (51:03.495)
Yeah, you dropped you dropped in you dropped in on that episode.
Shawn Smith (51:10.741)
dropped it hard. But yeah.
Talk Shit With P (51:12.329)
You
hearing it from from Ty side cuz the video me has is after by hearing it from Ty side of the episode it's very because you can
Krate (51:26.897)
Hey, that might get him an award. that puts you there. Like I might have to tell Dom now he got Dom need to tighten up cause that, that, that, sound design tie boy, that it put me right there. It's almost.
Shawn Smith (51:27.536)
We might have to stick that at the end of this.
Shawn Smith (51:38.847)
That was that segment.
Talk Shit With P (51:42.97)
You, you, I better be on your acceptance speech. Thank you, Paula, for falling. Paula P.
Shawn Smith (51:43.435)
Peace out.
Kia (51:46.937)
Okay.
Shawn Smith (51:50.927)
And B got the footage. Right, know, B ain't no joke when it comes to content. She got it. All I wish is we got the fall. I wish that the fall was there. I'm still looking to see if D got a corner of it. I still have to look at
Krate (51:53.011)
She got the Jerry Springer cam, she got it quick too.
Talk Shit With P (52:02.634)
You
You
Kia (52:13.05)
you
Krate (52:13.351)
I think the only thing that could have made, only thing that would have been a made it funnier if somebody would have been able to get it all to get the fall, get B catching the end of it and get Ty's reaction to it. Like if somebody, if somebody can, so we might have to free somebody's brain and we got to be able to pull that memory in like seven years, like when they get the technology, cause if you can get all of those, somebody went into Emmy.
Ty-Ron-Za (52:28.07)
That.
Ty-Ron-Za (52:40.516)
Yeah, that fall was epic.
Shawn Smith (52:43.537)
It was, it was, but like I said, we.
Ty-Ron-Za (52:45.185)
phone was epic and I told y'all y'all could hear it through the headphones. I ain't Bush. Yeah, y'all thought I was Bush. Y'all thought I was Bush and I said let me I said something. Hey shout out to B for the picture too. You feel what I'm saying? I was like yo I was like let me show y'all that I wasn't playing. She hit that flow hard boy.
Shawn Smith (52:51.335)
Yeah, till I hurt.
Talk Shit With P (52:52.64)
I didn't believe you! I thought you were bullshitting for real!
Shawn Smith (53:10.792)
in slow motion.
Talk Shit With P (53:11.3)
Even that timing of the picture, literally when you're telling me sit your ass down. And I'm just like that.
Ty-Ron-Za (53:11.89)
F.
Ty-Ron-Za (53:19.844)
Just stay your ass on the floor man, because I know your ass was hurting. Just stay there for a minute. Just let it soak in. Breathe a little. You feel what I'm saying? Yeah, that was funny. That was hilarious.
Shawn Smith (53:34.825)
Yeah, well, like I said, we about to end this. Kia they already told me I can't do one without you. know.
Kia (53:43.747)
We're
Ty-Ron-Za (53:43.771)
of fact. I mean you can bring in another you know help or another person or like you know like maybe alternate days but like she's she's it Shawn like it's a rap for that don't yeah like she yeah
Kia (53:48.941)
Thank you.
Krate (53:52.349)
Yeah, she got to at least coordinate. She could be like in the bear. Maybe like, yes, chef. No, she can do that part, but if she ain't, yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (54:03.518)
Yeah.
If she ain't that.
Kia (54:06.051)
Thank y'all, I appreciate it.
Talk Shit With P (54:06.61)
We ain't showing up! We're cutting the shit out of-
Ty-Ron-Za (54:09.055)
That's a fact.
Shawn Smith (54:09.547)
You done.
Krate (54:11.783)
or I show up and go on a hunger strike and be on the news. Cause you ain't bringing the key here. I'm boycotting.
Talk Shit With P (54:13.642)
real more quite
Ty-Ron-Za (54:18.399)
That was...
Ty-Ron-Za (54:23.529)
That was probably one of the highlights of the motherfucking trend. What's the fuck?
Krate (54:24.777)
be sitting in the corner looking like Paula, because I ate late lunch.
Shawn Smith (54:28.331)
I had a foo.
Ty-Ron-Za (54:29.406)
One thing I knew for certain. What? Great, no for real, one thing I knew for certain, two things I knew for sure. We was not going home. That is a fact.
Kia (54:33.044)
you
Kia (54:39.809)
That was the go. That was the absolute go.
Ty-Ron-Za (54:40.956)
that just, goal got checked the first night. Gold got checked the first night. Fit right, yo, yo, yo, when hold on, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, let me stop. When Shawn was, when Shawn sat here and was like, yo, it's finger food over there. I'm like, nigga, what the, what? Nigga, what?
Talk Shit With P (54:49.738)
Finger food! Finger food!
Krate (54:54.149)
Is that finger food means you almost bite your fingers? Yeah.
Beatriz Pena (54:54.339)
What kind of race?
Krate (55:00.243)
This is finger food.
Krate (55:09.234)
This This is a meal. This is dinner and leftovers.
Kia (55:09.569)
Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (55:10.813)
Ain't no damn finger food. This is dinner. What are you talking about? Krate You feel me? And what do we have? Leftovers? what? Come on, bro. Come on, Come on, man.
Kia (55:19.133)
it.
Shawn Smith (55:24.841)
Yeah. Well, listen, our conversation was, you know, finger food, like we had the sliders, you know, so that, you know, we could eat and do what we gonna do. But she, I didn't know that she was gonna have.
Talk Shit With P (55:27.284)
What race is this? What race was that?
Krate (55:36.709)
No, no, I mean, I'm not taking that. We all got either a Crystal's or a White Castle's or like, like Slider, Sliders ain't snack food no more. Like when you was a little kid and a slider was like the size of your fist in fourth grade, maybe like Sliders ain't snacks no more. Sliders are. Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (55:37.413)
mean, yes, I mean, it...
Ty-Ron-Za (55:45.564)
That's a fact. That's a fact.
As a fact.
Talk Shit With P (55:52.714)
Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (55:52.753)
Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (55:56.57)
And then wasn't sliders, then was like mini sandwiches.
Kia (55:59.869)
What?
Krate (56:00.63)
Yeah, those were sliders. Those were Slammers. Those were like real burgers.
Ty-Ron-Za (56:01.788)
Them was like mini sandwiches.
Kia (56:03.233)
Thank you all.
Shawn Smith (56:03.243)
Like I said.
Ty-Ron-Za (56:07.772)
and I'm from Detroit, them was buffalo chicken egg rolls, bro. I get those for dinner. Do you hear me? I get a corn, I get a corned beef egg roll for dinner. Cheese start out like that, my dog.
Kia (56:15.551)
Thank you.
Shawn Smith (56:15.603)
Listen, I didn't know she was gonna show up. I didn't know she was gonna show up like that.
I didn't know she was gonna show out like that. I know she's gonna try to show out because I'll be killing her when we have our competition zone cooking.
Krate (56:27.247)
And she blew us out in the first quarter. It was 40 to nothing at the of first quarter.
Kia (56:31.207)
Yeah. Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (56:34.19)
Yeah. Yes.
Shawn Smith (56:34.357)
But I ain't no shit show out like that, you know? Yeah.
Ty-Ron-Za (56:38.393)
Yeah, clean sweep.
Kia (56:41.023)
But I did have to pop out on him because he always tell me what he could do.
Krate (56:41.041)
Post production note, you said you're gonna get a tie, a sexy image. Do that for me, because I rushed in, I look like I'm in front of the police car waiting to get arrested. So put a sexy, I don't know where you're gonna find a sexy picture of me, but put one up, please.
Ty-Ron-Za (56:55.274)
Shawn Smith (57:02.955)
Speaking of pictures, before we shut down, speaking of pictures, the photo shoot. We got the photo shoot pictures back, what, Sunday? Was it Sunday? Whatever day we got on.
Ty-Ron-Za (57:07.266)
Yes. Yes.
Krate (57:12.615)
I don't know when it was, but if Paula was here, she would tell you it wasn't Friday, but they came in Saturday.
Shawn Smith (57:20.605)
Yeah, it might have been. Right, she was looking for the picture. So hopefully you'll start seeing some of the pictures. Actually, if you go to Paula's, know she'd already released some of them.
Ty-Ron-Za (57:20.91)
Because she was looking for the business was
Ty-Ron-Za (57:26.379)
What a picture time!
Krate (57:30.195)
By the same Paula already released them, she leaked them like it was a Jay-Z album. Everybody's picture out.
Ty-Ron-Za (57:36.119)
Yeah, she leaked them already. Yeah.
Shawn Smith (57:37.821)
Right, because she was, like I say, she was already behind, like I say, she wanted to Sunday before we left. So...

Shawn Smith (57:55.999)
They're up there now. They're up there now. The last part of that shoot when he was in the chair, it's a lot of them in there now. Yep. If you look in the drive, it's under additional.
Ty-Ron-Za (57:57.569)

Overtime, overtime shoot.
Shawn Smith (58:13.139)
Right. The additional pics. So yeah, Ty got kidnapped for a little bit. So the additional pics, they are in there. But if you go, if you re-download them, they should be there. I don't think they're in a different file, but I do have them on the drive as well. So we had to drive, we had to photo shoot things like that. you know, we'll keep some of the staples and stuff together. We'll see. But...
Ty-Ron-Za (58:19.658)

Talk Shit With P (58:35.904)
Enjoy the photoshoot, I love my pictures.
Shawn Smith (58:43.327)
I did enjoy you all. was a great time. I had to keep my peep well. The kid was trying to talk me off of, we'd like to go see what didn't go right and spend the time on that as opposed to what went right and we got it down. So it's out in the world now. And I'm popping out and showing people. We went to a, we was on a
Ty-Ron-Za (58:54.412)
Fledge.
Shawn Smith (59:12.459)
call yesterday, me, Al and Krate. And you know, I'm talking about it. And then I'm going to say, wasn't it, I really want to say, why wasn't y'all Negroes there? But you know, I, I, I, I, I refrained from that, but I did let them know that we did do something.
Krate (59:24.873)
I'll say it in the terms of even if you couldn't physically be there, apparently y'all on this platform and that platform, so your wifi work, you could have dipped into a session or two, but you know, everybody doing something. ain't mad. I'm not going to be that guy, but I will say that, that, that it, it wasn't, I don't believe it was impossible to support a session or just to drop in and say, Hey, I just wanted to see what was going on and wish y'all luck or whatever. But
Ty-Ron-Za (59:39.981)
we know that.
Ty-Ron-Za (59:44.219)
they definitely could have dropped to 25.
Kia (59:47.546)
Okay.
Krate (59:52.977)
You know, everybody's living a life how they live in it, so I can't keep score, but I can keep note.
Ty-Ron-Za (59:56.415)
Okay?
Ty-Ron-Za (01:00:01.002)
That's a fact. I forgive him.

Mr. Al Pete (01:00:11.936)
My bad, no, I mean, I heard some stuff and I'm like, boy, the guns coming out. Okay, okay, nevermind. I know what y'all talking about, but I was like, okay, okay, so I'm going back on mute to eat my fried rice, but yeah.
Krate (01:00:16.232)

Mr. Al Pete (01:00:30.57)

Shawn Smith (01:00:32.363)

Ty-Ron-Za (01:00:34.07)

Ty-Ron-Za (01:00:51.145)
And it was good for the first and the second one will be better. That's it.
Shawn Smith (01:00:54.367)
Right. And we are flag bearer for the community. Would that be it? Say it. Anything else for the good of the order before we leave? Any last comments?
Krate (01:01:03.278)
I was going to say it's good to see everybody except for Squared, so hopefully everybody's doing well.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:01:06.259)
When the next one.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:01:10.152)

Kia (01:01:23.096)
Yes.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:01:27.205)
Right. Whichever one that was.
Shawn Smith (01:01:34.539)
It's always good to see your people, always good to see good people. Juliana and B, y'all the youth and I look forward to what y'all gonna put out there. Y'all know y'all got everybody in here. The kid killing us with all that food. It was good, it's a good kid. Yeah, you are too.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:01:40.436)
All
Ty-Ron-Za (01:01:57.537)
Damn, Shawn, I'm youthful too, what you mean?
Krate (01:01:59.237)
Nah, you forgot your charger. Nah, you forgot your charger. You didn't know. You're turning the page. You forgot your charger.
Kia (01:02:00.292)
I was about to say what's the age limit? Wait, wait, what do we get? How do you qualify?
Talk Shit With P (01:02:00.916)
Thank
Ty-Ron-Za (01:02:02.682)
What the fuck, what are we talking about? What like, you, okay, you know what, get me off this, get me off the damn car, bro. All right, cause you know what, it be that, it be that type of bullshit right there.
Shawn Smith (01:02:06.065)
was the was the was the was the was in the to it listen listen
Kia (01:02:10.508)
Definitely was the best.
Krate (01:02:11.686)
You forgot your charger. You forget stuff now. You ain't ain't young no more.
Shawn Smith (01:02:18.347)
Listen, right, right. You had a group of people, I'm talking 20s, I'm talking 20s. I'm talking 20s, they're in 20s. so you know, in fact, that was a good thing. I ain't gonna spend too much time on it, but that was one thing I wanted to ask Ty was now that,
Krate (01:02:18.951)
You owed enough to know better.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:02:18.951)
Don't do that. Don't do that.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:02:24.967)
Don't do that, bro.
That is nuts. I hear you. I hear you.
Kia (01:02:28.852)
Okay, all right, that's fair. I'll take you.
I've accepted I'm a part of the Auntie Bruno.
Talk Shit With P (01:02:38.464)
I'm in my twenties too.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:02:39.036)
Okay.
What?
Shawn Smith (01:02:45.907)
You were usually the youngest. You weren't the youngest at this thing. Did that switch, did you feel that switch that you had people that were younger than you looking at you?
Ty-Ron-Za (01:02:50.117)
I was not.
Krate (01:02:54.279)
He was shook. He forgot his charger. He was shook.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:03:05.49)
I was sick that I forgot that shit too. When you said that pitch, was like, God damn it, I'm always leaving some game shit. No, I did not, honestly. It didn't even really cross my mind.
I'm not to say I'm used to being the youngest in the group, but it's never noticeable.
I'm kind of used to it. So it's like, you know, it's never a problem when those who are maybe younger than me come in and, you I am looked at to now sort of mentor or guide or help or whatever. That's what I'm there to do anyway. Whether you younger than me, older than me, it don't matter. Like it's just a thing of we are there to kind of guide and help each other and give knowledge to one another.
And you know, if you peeve game, I peeve game. If I peeve game, you peeve game. So that's it. That's it.
Krate (01:04:02.023)
That's dope. That's dope. So if you forget a charger square, I'll send you a charger in the mail if you forget yours.
Shawn Smith (01:04:02.815)
Yeah, but that's you. So that's cool.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:04:06.747)
Yeah.
Yeah, I got you. Create if you feel get your boombox, I got you. It may stay here for a minute, but you I said it.
Shawn Smith (01:04:12.625)
I was, I was.
Krate (01:04:13.457)
It's alright, as long as you put fresh D- put some fresh D batteries in there when you send it back to me, it's all good.
Ty-Ron-Za (01:04:20.898)
Yes, sir. I got you. Always. Always.
Shawn Smith (01:04:22.58)

I might cut that out, you know, because it's getting personal to some people. It's getting personal to some people. Right. Yeah. Right. Start naming names. And yo, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
Krate (01:06:29.282)
